Eddie celebrated his birthday by buying beer for thirsty runners at the gate of Heaven aka Valhalla. We all wish Eddie a very happy birthday. Here are some of the pictures I took (business as usual) :-)

Running scene in India is growing at an explosive pace and every weekend there are tons of races across various towns. I ran/race quite regularly in Houston for many years and observed the running scene very closely. I can't help comparing running in India Vs Running in US in my mind. Reflections while running "Easy and Steady" for a comeback

I hesitated to write this post about 6 weeks back because I didn't want to jinx the rhythm I had found.  As much as I enjoy many aspects of running, I struggle to blend it into a lifestyle as many runners seem to have achieved around me effortlessly. I keep falling off the wagon like an incorrigible  alcoholic :) I tried to prepare for TMM Half 2023 in haste and overconfidence which resulted in a unique recurrence of injury called "Calf Heart Attacks" (three separate instances so far in my running career, all happened when I tried to return to running from a break in haste). I still ran TMM half 2023 because I didn't want to miss the marquee event of Mumbai running. I finished the race in 1:52:xx but limping with pain.  I examined the cause of the injury and a pattern emerged. I was simply too reckless as shown in the table. A letter to someone special !!!

Hey There, I know it is little creepy but we need to talk. Not in a bad way, we are not gonna break up or anything. I just wanna tell you how great you are these days. I think sometimes you deserve little attention and hence this letter. We both know that Fall was painful and we struggled and suffered together a lot. Then, you just gave up on me in the middle of a marathon. Come on, in the middle? I was so pissed on you for 2 weeks that we didn't run even a single recovery run together. Then came Med center 5k and we ran together a 19:45. We started talking again and you promised that you will stay with me for spring. So far you have delivered on your promise. You are with me when I need you most. I sometimes tire you but you don't complain. I know I am not taking enough care of you. I know, and yet you are not complaining. Since marathon we have run 6 races together in 8 weeks and out of them 4 were PR's. Remember how I told you before that we belong together. Yes, we do!!...
